Mohan R

Mohan R joined Texas Instruments India in 1998 in the Mixed Signal Products division . Starting his career with simple blocks like Analog FIR and reference system , Mohan continued to grow technically with turning out significant variety of Mixed Signal blocks in a fast turn-out-time.

In 2002 , Mohan became Lead layout engineer with significant responsibilities of full-chip layout of several projects. His achievements includes physical integration of high voltage (12V) line driver into first single chip DSL modem. He also pioneered handling complexity of 5 GHz PLL and Mixers for Wireless LAN RF project. Mohan’s responsibility also included mentoring and bringing up junior layout engineers fast to speed . He played multiple leadership roles in Analog modules, full chip layout, RF layout, Digital backend, IO layouts, ESD, Power Managements, Backend verification, Package modeling, Automations using skill and custom DRC/rule deck coding.

He brings some of the unique layout experiences and know-how for handling technology nodes right from 0.6u to 45 nm. His latest involvement includes leading efforts for creating high precision and high speed Analog/IO modules layouts in 65 and 45 nm technologies. Mohan was a co-founder of Sankalp and also instrumental in setting up of the Hubli center for Sankalp.

Mohan holds a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra Govt Polytechnic and MS in Microelectronics from Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani.
