Samir Patel is the CEO of Sankalp Semiconductor and has played a key role in setting up Sankalp’s global operations in North America and Europe. Samir has had a successful stint spanning 16 years at Rambus where his last held position was that of Sr. VP - Engineering.
He has also held senior positions at Sun Microsystems, Catalyst and National Semiconductor.
Samir Patel holds a B.Tech degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai and an MS degree from The University of California, Santa Barbara. He is credited with executive courses from Stanford University.
Nagaraj Azhakesan is the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for designing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures. He is instrumental at establishing policies that promote company culture and vision. Nagaraj has more than 24 years in the industry and has worked in various companies like Hughes Escorts Communications Limited, Wipro Technologies, Texas Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd, Cosmic Circuits Private Limited and held various senior positions.
He has extensively worked in the areas of Information Technology, VSAT network, Project Management, Vendor management, Human Resources, Finance & Administration. Nagaraj Azhakesan was one of the promoters & Board of Director of Cosmic Circuits Private Limited before it was successfully acquired by Cadence.
Vivek Pawar is the Founder of Sankalp Semiconductor and has played a key role in driving Sankalp’s vision to nurture young entrepreneurs. Prior to Sankalp, Vivek held several executive positions at Texas Instruments and was General Manager of the Broadband Silicon Technology Centre in TI India. A semiconductor industry veteran, Vivek Pawar is an office bearer on several industry joint panels and corporate boards.
Vivek holds a BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Pune and an M.Tech in Micro Electronics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
As Chief Technology Officer at Sankalp, Vijay Pathak is responsible for identifying and developing new technologies that help the company sustain maintain market leadership. Vijay was earlier at Kawasaki Microelectronics America and with Texas Instruments in England, France and the US working in various engineering and managerial roles for 17 years. He started his career with Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
Vijay holds an M.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani and has a Ph.D. from Bristol University, England.
Madhav Rao is Vice President, Engineering at Sankalp and is responsible for all Digital, Custom Layout and Technology Foundation Services delivery, heading a team of over 450 engineering professionals.
An industry veteran with over 22 years of experience in semiconductor space, Madhav had been associated for 21 years with Wipro – from being a Project Engineer in 1994 to having held the post of General Manager & Delivery Head of Wipro’s Semiconductor & Systems Division where he had managed several global customers and a large group of engineers.
Madhav holds BE degree from Mumbai and an M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
Prakash Easwaran is the Vice President Engineering for Analog & Mixed Signal Group. He is a semiconductor veteran with more than 24 years of experience in various semiconductor and systems companies like Texas Instruments, Cosmic Circuits and InnoRel Systems. His expertise lies in building high performance teams executing analog mixed projects in automotive, consumer and networking domains.
Prakash was the CTO of Cosmic Circuits before its successful acquisition by Cadence. Prakash has 5 papers and 29 patents attributed to his name.
John Panagiotopoulos is the Vice President of N. America Sales at Sankalp and is responsible for executing the expansion of Sankalp presence and tasked to take the company to the next level. An industry veteran with over 35 years of experience in the semiconductor space, John has been associated with and held Executive Sales and Marketing positions at IBM Microelectronics, Samsung Semiconductors, Kawasaki Microelectronics (MegaChips Corporation), eSilicon and Synapse DA. John holds an EE degree from University of Bridgeport.
Dan Clein is Director at Sankalp Semiconductor and General Manager at Sankalp operations in Canada. A semiconductor industry veteran, Dan moved in from PMC Sierra where he worked for 13 years and his last-held position was that of Director-Mixed Signal Layout. He has held senior positions at organizations like MOSAID in Canada and Motorola, Israel and worked with most major vendors to develop new tools and methodologies for the industry.
Dan has authored a book, titled “CMOS IC Layout - Concepts, Methodologies and Tools” widely used across universities in North America and Europe for graduate level programs in Electrical Engineering.
Uday is the Vice President of Business Development for India and APAC at Sankalp Semiconductor. He has close to 30 years of industry experience in engineering, marketing, engineering management and business development. Uday comes with a strong background of managing business relationships and providing hi-tech solutions. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communications from the University of Mysore and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
